Roles & Responsibilities

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a product/project management role for enterprise platforms, preferably Workday.
Strong governance, change management, and cross-functional collaboration experience, with ability to manage roadmaps, prioritization, and vendor relationships.
Experience with budgeting/forecasting, cost optimization, ROI/benefit realization metrics, and building reporting dashboards.

Requirements:

Lead governance and change management for Workday, including prioritization of enhancements, upgrades, and platform releases; establish and maintain documentation, audit readiness, and vendor management practices.
Develop and execute communication plans for platform updates and releases; create training materials and documentation to drive user adoption.
Oversee end-to-end release lifecycle (scoping, configuration, testing, deployment) and drive platform optimization through configuration and integration enhancements.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization; define and monitor ROI/benefit realization metrics; establish reporting frameworks and dashboards.

Workday Product Owner- Remote

Job Summary

The Workday Product Owner is responsible for the strategic direction, governance, and overall value realization of the organization's Workday platform. This role drives platform success through effective roadmap management, change governance, and cross-functional collaboration. The Product Owner ensures platform stability, performance, and alignment with business priorities while delivering measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Governance & Change Management

• Lead governance processes including prioritization of enhancements, upgrades, and platform releases.

• Establish and maintain change management standards to ensure proper documentation, compliance, and audit readiness.

• Develop and execute communication plans related to platform updates, releases, and enhancements.

• Ensure training materials and documentation support strong user adoption and engagement.

• Manage vendor relationships and align external product roadmaps with internal platform strategy.

Release & Optimization Management

• Oversee the end-to-end release lifecycle including scoping, configuration, testing, deployment, and stakeholder communication.

• Drive platform optimization initiatives including functional configuration improvements and integration enhancements.

• Ensure support teams follow established change management and documentation standards.

Performance Management & Value Realization

• Manage platform budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization strategies.

• Define and monitor benefit realization and ROI metrics related to platform investments.

• Establish reporting frameworks and dashboards
