  • Drive land-and-expand strategies to grow account footprint and identify new opportunities within existing engagements, partnering with sales and leadership to shape opportunities
  • Protect and grow backlog through consistent value delivery, renewal risk mitigation, and monitoring portfolio revenue and commercial health
  • Ensure delivery excellence across programs within the portfolio by providing governance oversight to program managers and delivery leads, maintaining timelines and client satisfaction, and handling escalations

Role Overview

The Portfolio Lead – Data & Analytics is responsible for driving strategic data engagements across key enterprise accounts. This role blends a consulting mindset, strong technology understanding, commercial ownership, and delivery governance.

The Portfolio Lead acts as a trusted data engagement partner, accountable for account growth, backlog protection, delivery excellence, and innovation enablement within assigned portfolios. The role requires deep stakeholder engagement, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to align data initiatives with business outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

Account & Relationship Management

  • Build and strengthen executive-level relationships with data and analytics stakeholders across assigned accounts
  • Position as a trusted advisor for data, analytics, and AI transformation initiatives
  • Develop a strong understanding of client roadmaps, priorities, and organizational objectives

Land & Expand Strategy

  • Drive account growth through structured land-and-expand strategies
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities within existing engagements
  • Expand the data and analytics footprint across business units and functions
  • Partner with sales and leadership teams to shape and convert opportunities

Backlog Protection & Revenue Assurance

  • Protect and grow existing backlog through consistent value delivery
  • Anticipate renewal risks and proactively mitigate through engagement and performance alignment
  • Monitor and manage portfolio utilization, revenue, and commercial health

Delivery Governance & Success

  • Ensure delivery excellence across all programs within the portfolio
  • Provide governance oversight to program managers and delivery leads
  • Maintain delivery quality, timelines, and client satisfaction across multi-project engagements
  • Intervene in escalations and ensure timely, low-disruption resolution

Innovation & Value Creation

  • Drive innovation by introducing modern data capabilities, accelerators, and AI-enabled solutions
  • Align portfolio initiatives with emerging technology trends and measurable business value
  • Encourage proactive solutioning beyond immediate scope to enhance client impact

Leadership & Team Alignment

  • Mentor and guide program managers, project managers, and engagement leads
  • Enable capability development and scalable engagement models
  • Collaborate closely with delivery, sales, and practice leadership teams


Requirements

Key Skills & Competencies

Data & Technology

  • Strong understanding of Data & Analytics ecosystems, including:
    • Cloud data platforms
    • BI and visualization
    • Advanced analytics and AI initiatives

Consulting & Commercial Acumen

  • Ability to translate data initiatives into business value and outcomes
  • Strong commercial awareness (revenue, margin, utilization, backlog)
  • Experience managing enterprise accounts and complex portfolios

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Proven ability to influence senior and executive stakeholders
  • Strong communication, governance, and escalation management skills
  • Experience leading multi-project, multi-team portfolios

Qualifications
