Job Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst – HR Technology Strategy
Job Location: 100% Remote, Canada
Experience: 10+ Years
Rate: 80 to 85 CAD PH

Role Summary: NearSource is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst – HR Technology Strategy to support People & Places leadership in shaping the long-term HR technology ecosystem. This role focuses on strategic system analysis, operating model definition, and technology roadmap development across enterprise people systems. The ideal candidate brings strong enterprise systems thinking and the ability to translate organizational priorities into clear technology strategies and decision frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document the current People technology landscape, including systems of record, workflow platforms, intelligence services, and experience layers
  • Drive system-level analysis and capability mapping across the enterprise HR technology ecosystem
  • Partner with People & Places leadership to develop and refine a multi-year HR technology strategy and roadmap aligned with enterprise architecture
  • Define capability-based frameworks that guide buy, build, or extend decisions across HR platforms
  • Identify system fragmentation, redundancy, governance gaps, and opportunities for consolidation or strategic differentiation
  • Produce executive-ready artifacts, including ecosystem maps, strategic roadmaps, and decision frameworks
  • Translate People strategy and leadership priorities into clear technology implications and strategic trade-offs
  • Act as a strategic partner to Solution Design and Product teams while influencing long-term system architecture decisions

Must-Have Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in business systems analysis, enterprise systems strategy, or HR technology architecture
  • Demonstrated experience in developing HR technology strategy and multi-year roadmap planning
  • Strong enterprise systems thinking and experience operating within complex technology ecosystems
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms such as Workday and enterprise people systems
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex or ambiguous inputs into clear strategic recommendations
  • Experience creating executive-level artifacts such as capability maps, technology roadmaps, and decision frameworks
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Familiarity with modern employee experience platforms and workflow automation tools
  • Experience supporting enterprise HR transformation initiatives
  • Exposure to enterprise architecture frameworks or capability-based planning models
  • Understanding of HR technology governance and operating model design

Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, HR Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
