Job Title: Senior Program Manager, Change & Transformation
Job Location: 100% Remote, Canada
Job Type: T4 Contract
Experience: 10+ Years
Rate: CAD 80 - 90 per hour

Role Summary: NearSource is looking for a Senior Program Manager, Change & Transformation to lead complex, cross-functional programs supporting strategic business and technical initiatives. The role will establish program structure, governance, operating mechanisms, and execution discipline across interconnected workstreams.

The successful candidate will combine strong program management and change management expertise with executive stakeholder influence to drive measurable outcomes in a highly visible, matrixed environment.

  • Strong program management experience with demonstrated ownership of complex, cross-functional programs from planning through execution, including scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, governance, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong change management expertise, including change impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, readiness assessments, and recognized methodologies such as Prosci, Kotter, or equivalent approaches.
  • Strong executive stakeholder management and influence, including executive reporting, decision support, alignment facilitation, influence without authority, and management of competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end management of complex, cross-functional programs, including program definition, scope, objectives, workstreams, schedules, milestones, dependencies, governance, and success measures.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program plans with clear ownership, sequencing, decision points, deliverables, and accountability across participating teams.
  • Establish effective program governance and operating rhythms, including status reviews, leadership updates, decision forums, action tracking, and escalation mechanisms.
  • Drive execution across multiple workstreams by proactively identifying blockers, dependencies, and gaps and establishing appropriate owners and actions.
  • Manage program risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies while providing clear mitigation strategies, recommendations, and escalation paths.
  • Define and track measurable program outcomes and success metrics to maintain alignment with strategic and business objectives.
  • Provide senior leaders with concise, executive-ready reporting and decision support covering program health, progress, risks, tradeoffs, dependencies, and recommended actions.
  • Prepare and facilitate executive and cross-functional discussions to drive decisions, resolve competing priorities, and maintain organizational alignment.
  • Conduct change impact, stakeholder, and readiness assessments for major program initiatives and translate findings into actionable change strategies and plans.
  • Integrate change management activities into broader program plans, including stakeholder engagement, communications, adoption, readiness, and reinforcement.
  • Apply recognized change management frameworks such as Prosci, Kotter, or equivalent methodologies based on program requirements.
  • Influence without direct authority by building strong relationships, creating shared accountability, and aligning stakeholders around common objectives and outcomes.
  • Continuously improve program management processes, governance mechanisms, and ways of working to increase execution effectiveness and organizational visibility.

Must-Have Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in program management, transformation, change management, business operations, or related disciplines, with significant experience managing complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience owning programs from planning through execution, including scope management, integrated planning, milestone management, dependency management, risk management, governance, and outcome tracking.
  • Strong experience working directly with senior and executive leaders, including preparing executive materials, facilitating discussions, presenting recommendations, and supporting decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in complex, matrixed organizations where program participants may not report directly to the program manager.
  • Strong knowledge of change management disciplines, including stakeholder analysis, change impact assessment, organizational readiness, adoption planning, and reinforcement.
  • Working knowledge of recognized change management methodologies such as Prosci, Kotter, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns, assess tradeoffs, structure ambiguous problems, and recommend practical courses of action.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex program information into clear messages for working teams and executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively and maintain execution discipline across multiple concurrent workstreams and competing priorities.
  • Ability to operate effectively across global teams and time zones.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in professional services, consulting, customer success, business transformation, or technology organizations.
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale operating model, organizational, process, or technology transformation programs.
  • Experience establishing or improving program governance, portfolio management, or business operating mechanisms.
  • Experience with Prosci, PMP, PgMP, or comparable program or change management certification.
