Job description

Job Summary:

Job Description:

How would you like to join one of the world’s most prolific and successful software acquirers – and help take us to the next level? Modaxo is the people transportation division within Constellation Software (TSE:CSU), which has acquired more than 1,000 software businesses – and never sold a single one of them.

As an acquirer, Modaxo presents a unique proposition: we offer a forever home, absolute autonomy, genuine long-term stability – and a singular focus on people transportation software. Since launching Modaxo as a separate vertical from CSI in 2020, we have grown to almost 30 brands. We now wish to bolster our existing M&A capabilities with a highly skilled and experienced M&A Manager to join our Execution Team in North America.

Our role:

Reporting directly to the head of M&A within Modaxo Americas, you will play a pivotal role in executing high-impact transactions and driving our continued success in the transportation software sector. This is a full-time, fully remote role encompassing the following key responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the execution of M&A transactions, including due diligence, deal structuring, negotiation, and integration planning

Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and valuation assessments to support decision-making processes

Manage cross-functional teams and external advisors to ensure alignment and timely execution of transaction timelines

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including target companies, financial institutions, legal advisors, and internal departments

Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on market trends, competitive analysis, and industry dynamics

Support post-acquisition integration efforts to achieve synergy targets and maximize operational efficiencies

Develop and implement best practices and processes to streamline M&A execution and integration activities

We’re looking for:

Someone with passion for leading M&A transactions end-to-end, who thrives in a challenging environment, and who is inspired by the prospect of working within a truly world-leading M&A organisation.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred

5+ years of experience in M&A, private equity, investment banking, corporate development, or related roles, with a proven track record of successfully executing transactions

Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct complex financial modeling and valuation analyses

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels

Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving projects to successful completion

Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast and dynamic environment

Experience in the software / transportation technology sector or related industries is a plus

Our offer:

Come and be part of a truly world class M&A organisation

Make a real impact: at Modaxo, you won't just be a cog in the wheel – you'll be instrumental in reshaping the global mobility industry. We acquire, build and grow software companies into global champions

Enjoy flexibility: Experience the best of both worlds with the resources of an international corporation and the agility and adaptability of a small team

Visibility: Your hard work won’t go unnoticed. Modaxo is great at identifying, rewarding and developing strong performers

Growth: Internationally or locally, in M&A or operating a business, within Modaxo or our parent group, we offer a broad range of growth opportunities
