Business Systems Analyst - Atlassian
Contract Duration: (9 months)
Location: Remote (PST time zone)
Pay Rate: $145/hr on W2

Role Overview: Builder-first role (2–3 quarters Jira cleanup/standardization), transitioning to steady-state Atlassian administration. Own Jira, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Confluence health/security for the BizTech team. Partner with Legal, Finance, Trust & Safety, Recruiting, and others to drive adoption and governance.

Key Responsibilities
Platform Ownership & Cleanup

Administer Atlassian Cloud (global configs, schemes, permissions, apps); lead multi-quarter cleanup (audit 35+ projects, consolidate inactive, rationalize schemes/fields).
Harden security (JSM portals, risk remediation with Security team); automate access provisioning/deprovisioning.
Manage vendor relations, licensing, app portfolio.

Team Enablement

Design workflows/automation for high-touch teams (Legal/Finance); proactively engage under-utilizers (Recruiting/Compliance).
Triage tickets, deliver training/documentation, identify config improvements.

Core BSA Duties

Analyze processes for automation; document standards/runbooks; test UAT; monitor usage.
Integrate with Slack/iPaaS; stay current on Atlassian roadmap.

Must-Have Requirements

5+ years BSA/Atlassian Admin in tech environments.
Deep Jira/JSM system-level expertise (projects, schemes, custom fields, automation, portals).
Led Atlassian cleanup/migration/governance (project consolidation, permissions hardening).
Security-savvy (permission schemes, JSM access, service accounts).
Startup/scrappy experience (FAANG OK with startup exposure).
Strong requirements gathering, documentation, stakeholder bridging; API/iPaaS familiarity.
