Technical Project Manager - LATAM
This position offers you the opportunity to join a fast-growing technology organization that is redefining productivity paradigms in the software engineering industry. If you are passionate about technology and want to learn about new trends that are shaping human behavior, this opportunity is for you.
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to lead a complex migration that consolidates ACH and wire payment processing from multiple existing software stacks onto a single payments platform. This is a project execution role demanding rigorous planning, disciplined cross-functional
coordination, and hands-on management of a third-party vendor through requirements, testing, and cutover.
This role is built for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical complexity and organizational alignment: someone who can get into the details of a payments workflow, hold vendors accountable to commitments, and keep a diverse set of internal stakeholders moving in the same direction.
Project Outcomes (Success Looks Like)
You will ensure delivery of:
- A migration of existing ACH and Wire processing partners from a current software stack to a new one.
- The decommissioning of the current software stack after all partners are
migrated.
- Operational readiness and controls validated across the payment lifecycle
supported by test plans/scripts and runbooks suitable for production use.
What You'll Do
- Own the project plan end-to-end: define and maintain milestones, dependencies, and a risk register. Proactively surface blockers before they
become delays.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Payments Operations, Treasury, Risk, Finance, and an external third-party service provider. Facilitate decisions, document outcomes, and keep workstreams moving.
- Gather and document requirements in a form that internal stakeholders and the vendor can both execute against. Own requirements traceability through to testing and go-live.
- Maintain a clear view of vendor deliverables and acceptance criteria. Escalate blockers promptly, manage scope creep, and drive to agreed milestones.
- Coordinate UAT with Operations and the vendor, triage issues, validate operational controls, and ensure runbooks and SOPs are production-ready before cutover.
- Support partner onboarding to the new stack; provide occasional evening/weekend availability during cutover windows (sporadic, not weekly).
- Communicate project status to leadership weekly, including risks, decisions needed, and milestone progress.
Scope of the Planned Work
- Rails in scope: ACH and Wires.
- Work includes a mix of technical + operations migration and process redesign.
- Minimal partner-facing changes expected. Work is primarily back-office operational/process change.
Qualifications
- 3–6 years in a technical project management, implementation, or program management role, with a track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects on time.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills. You can align people who don't share a reporting line and drive decisions in ambiguous situations.
- Disciplined project management fundamentals: work breakdown structures, dependency mapping, risk management, and clear status reporting.
- Ability to engage credibly with technical subject matter, such as payment rail mechanics, file conventions, and operational workflows to ask the right questions and spot gaps in requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable owning documentation and facilitating both internal working sessions and vendor reviews.
- Proven vendor management experience: setting expectations, tracking deliverables, and escalating effectively.
Nice to Have
- Direct experience with ACH and/or wire payment rails (FedACH, Fedwire), including from an operations or implementation background.
- Experience supporting payment platform migrations or cutovers, including production readiness (runbooks, SOPs, incident prep).
- Background in banking or fintech operations (Treasury, Risk, or Finance a plus).
- Familiarity with Jira for project tracking and Notion for documentation.
Tools & Working Style
- Primary tools: Jira (tracking), Notion (documentation).
- Remote role; occasional travel may be required.
