About the Role:
CardioOne is hiring an experienced Senior Software Engineer & DevOps to lead and scale a high-performing engineering and DevOps team. In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on development, deployment, and maintenance of software applications and infrastructure, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability. You will lead the engineering team in building high-quality software while managing the DevOps team to implement robust CI/CD pipelines, automation, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring solutions. This is a hands-on position will grow into a leadership position as the organization scales. You will report directly to the Senior Director of Software Engineering.

Responsibilities:Develop and implement DevOps strategies that improve system reliability, scalability, and efficiency by building/enhancing backend services, microservices, and APIs that support the company’s products and servicesManage the end-to-end lifecycle of applications, from development through deployment and operationEnsure continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines are robust, optimized, and automatedWrite clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices in software engineering and design patterns.Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers to ensure code quality and technical excellenceReview code, design, and deployment strategies to ensure best practices, code quality and technical excellenceOptimize and manage cloud-based infrastructure on platforms like AWS, and/or Azure, ensuring high availability and scalabilityImplement and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to proactively detect and address application and performance issues.Integrate security best practices into the CI/CD pipelines, ensuring secure deployments and infrastructure complianceTroubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment-related issues across dev, QA, Staging and production environmentsSetup and manage 3P file transfer protocols, access and other infrastructure as neededEnsure that all systems are secure and compliant with relevant industry standardsOversee infrastructure cost management and optimization, ensuring resources are effectively allocated and expenses are managedQualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)8+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or related rolesStrong expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and services like EC2, Lambda, S3, Docker, ECS, elastic etc.Extensive experience in software development using modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python)Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Terragrunt) and CI/CD tools such as GitLabStrong knowledge of monitoring, alerting, and observability toolsExperience in designing and deploying microservices and containerized applications using DockerStrong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments.Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.Proven ability to lead and manage engineering teams, promoting innovation and driving technical excellence.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage relationships across technical and non-technical teamsPreferred Qualifications: Experience with frontend technologies (React is a plus)Experience with AI/ML & ETL tools and processesHealthcare domain knowledge
