Roles & Responsibilities

Proven experience in fund operations, fund accounting, fund administration, or alternatives (buy-side experience strongly preferred)
Strong understanding of capital accounts, NAVs, waterfalls, and financial statement preparation
Knowledge of partnership tax fundamentals, including K-1 and 1099 cycles
Familiarity with fund lifecycle metrics such as DPI, RVPI, TVPI, and IRR

Requirements:

Manage capital calls, distributions, and allocation processes; reconcile capital activity and ensure accurate LP and fund reporting; support investor statements and reporting workflows
Assist with capital account reconciliations, NAV calculations, waterfall calculations, and GAAP financial statement preparation
Coordinate tax compliance workflows, including K-1 and 1099 cycles, and liaise with external tax advisors when required
Scrub, validate, and normalize investor and fund data; maintain clean reconciliations and audit-ready outputs; handle day-to-day client requests and documentation management

WE ARE HIRING: Fund Operations Generalist

Location: Remote / Colombo, Sri Lanka

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and operationally strong Fund Operations Generalist to support fund administration, accounting workflows, capital activities, tax coordination, and client servicing within a fast-growing, technology-enabled fund operations environment.

This role is ideal for professionals with US fund administration or buy-side operations experience who understand GP/LP dynamics and are comfortable managing fund mechanics across the investment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Capital Activity & Reporting

Manage capital calls, distributions, and allocation processes.
Reconcile capital activity and ensure accurate LP and fund reporting.
Support investor statements and reporting workflows.

Fund Accounting & Tax Support

Assist with capital account reconciliations and NAV calculations.
Support waterfall calculations and financial statement preparation (GAAP).
Coordinate tax compliance workflows, including K-1 and 1099 cycles.
Liaise with external tax advisors when required.

Data Validation & Documentation

Scrub, validate, and normalize investor and fund data.
Review and extract key fields from source documentation for system ingestion.
Maintain clean reconciliations and audit-ready outputs.

Client Service & Compliance

Handle day-to-day client requests and documentation management.
Support onboarding workflows and compliance-related documentation.
Ensure adherence to institutional fund administration standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience in fund operations, fund accounting, fund administration, or alternatives (buy-side experience strongly preferred).
Strong understanding of capital accounts, NAVs, waterfalls, and financial statement preparation.
Knowledge of partnership tax fundamentals, including K-1 and 1099 cycles.
Familiarity with fund lifecycle metrics such as DPI, RVPI, TVPI, and IRR.
Experience with fund accounting software such as Investran, eFront, Allvue, or similar platforms is an advantage.
Strong data validation, reconciliation, and analytical skills.
Excellent written communication and client-facing professionalism.
Ability to manage time-sensitive deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
