2+ years of accounting experience focused on tax returns for company and SMSF, BAS, payroll, and tax return preparation
Knowledge of Australian tax regulations and SMSF requirements
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) and Microsoft Excel
Requirements:
Manage tax returns for company, SMSF, and individual clients, along with related engagements
Prepare and lodge BAS and other regulatory filings in compliance with Australian tax requirements; process payroll including tax calculations, superannuation, and deductions
Maintain accurate financial records and assist in preparing financial statements and reports; reconcile accounts

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage tax returns for company and SMSF accounts, individual tax returns, as well as other occasional engagements including BAS preparation and payroll processing. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Australian tax regulations and accounting standards, contributing to accurate financial management and reporting. This role involves collaborating with internal teams. and clients to ensure timely and compliant financial processing.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be the kind of person who:
Manage accounts and tax returns for both company and SMSF (Self-Managed Superannuation Fund) clients, along with individual tax returns and various other engagements.
Prepare and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other regulatory filings in compliance with Australian tax requirements.
Process payroll accurately, including tax calculations, superannuation, and deductions.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records for auditing and compliance purposes.
Assist in preparing financial statements and reports to support decision-making.
Reconcile accounts and investigate any discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
Provide clients with updates on tax obligations and deadlines, ensuring compliance and timely submissions.
Stay updated on Australian tax laws and accounting regulations to ensure adherence to best practices.
Contribute to team management tasks such as work-paper template maintenance, checklist review, project progress monitoring, etc.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on tax returns for both company and SMSFBAS, payroll, and tax return preparation experience is an advantage.
Knowledge of Australian tax regulations and SMSF requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
