Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Assessor/Interviewer specializing in Node.js Development to join our team. This advanced role involves evaluating technical candidates for various senior-level Node.js development positions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of technical proficiency, problem-solving abilities, and cultural fit. The ideal candidate will possess a deep expertise in Node.js development methodologies, tools, and practices, along with a strong ability to mentor and guide the technical assessment process.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct comprehensive technical interviews and assessments for senior-level Node.js development positions, ensuring a thorough evaluation of candidates technical skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Develop and continuously update advanced assessment criteria and interview questions to reflect the latest Node.js development trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with the HR and development teams to understand complex role requirements, desired skills, and team dynamics, tailoring assessments accordingly.
  • Provide detailed, actionable feedback and recommendations to the hiring team, playing a key role in informing hiring decisions.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Node.js technologies, tools, and practices, ensuring that assessments remain current and relevant.
  • Facilitate in-depth technical workshops or discussions to evaluate candidates’ hands-on skills in a collaborative environment.
  • Mentor and train junior technical assessors/interviewers, providing guidance on best practices and interview techniques.
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience throughout the technical assessment process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in software development roles, with at least 5 years specializing in Node.js development.
  • Deep understanding of Node.js, Express.js, and asynchronous programming.
  • Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., React.js, Angular, Vue.js) and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Sequelize, TypeORM).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate complex technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to provide constructive feedback and mentor others.
  • Extensive experience designing advanced technical assessments and conducting technical interviews.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest Node.js development trends and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced certifications in Node.js or related technologies.
  • Significant experience in a technical hiring or technical assessment role.
  • Leadership or managerial experience in a software development team, with a proven track record of mentoring and guiding team members.
  • Experience contributing to open-source Node.js projects or communities.
  • Familiarity with testing technologies such as Mocha, Chai, Jest.
  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for Node.js applications.
