Cloud Software Engineer

8allocate is a global provider of end-to-end custom software development solutions to companies all over the globe, from North America to the EU to Israel to Australia.

Headquartered in Estonia, we run offshore R&D centers in Kyiv and Lviv. Our team is 50% remote and distributed. We specialize in flexible interaction exclusively with international clients (we cover industries from commercial aviation to fintech) thanks to a multinational support group of experts and management.

Currently, we are looking for a Senior Cloud Software Engineer.

Project: We are looking for a Senior Cloud Software Engineer to perform research and hands-on development of the next generation Serverless Cloud Native Operating System.

Our client is a uniquely positioned data science and Intelligence insights product company. They enable the creation of enterprise-level AI-empowered Business Applications to data-intensive organizations, that impact both top line and bottom line.

The company is building a knowledge-based Digital Transformation platform (ELEMENT), and the world's first Cloud AI Operating System (CAIOS), which, without much fuss, are already serving some of the world’s leading financial brands.

• Identifying prevailing software industry trends;
  
• Mapping competitive landscape;
  
• Proposing long-term strategy;
  
• Identifying top priorities for the next release;
  
• Making major technological and architectural decisions;
  
• Implementing hands-on mission critical parts of the system;
  
• Guiding and mentoring BST LABS apprentices and junior developers.
  

• Fast auto-didact;
  
• Fluent English;
  
• 3+ years of Proven Hands-on experience with at least one of leading cloud computing platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba, CloudFlare;
  
• Master level of software architecture including architectural and design patterns;
  
• Fluent UML;
  
• Deep understanding and practical experience with all prevailing programming paradigms: Functional, Object-Oriented, Procedural;
  
• Algorithms and data structures;
  
• Compilation;
  
• 3+ years of Proven Hands-on experience in Python;
  
• SQL and NoSQL databases;
  
• Web Technologies.
  

• Deep understanding of the Serverless trend;
  
• Go, JavaScript, Rust, C/C++, Lisp, Julia;
  
• JVM ecosystem;
  
• .NET ecosystem;
  
• Domain-Driven Design;
  
• Data Science and Machine Learning.
  

You can work from 9 am till 6 pm or from 10 am till 7 pm.
