Technical Lead

Started in June 2020, 21K School is an online-only School with personalised, affordable and flexible education for K-12 students globally. It is a category creator in the formal K-12 space of Education, offering high-quality schooling to students irrespective of their location and time zone. 

Our goal is to make quality education accessible, affordable and flexible for all students irrespective of their location or socio-economic background. We are a 100% online school and presently offer three curricula for our students - Indian, American and British. 

We are expanding our Team and are looking for passionate Instructional and Pedagogical Leaders in K-12 Space to be a part of the path-breaking journey.

             Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical design of solutions for problems requiring an application design - be it APIs, frontends, middleware and/or databases
  

• Help the developers in task estimation, planning, tracking and resolving technical blocker issues.
  

• Keep the Project Managers and/or Product Owners updated proactively
  

• Prepare suitable levels of documentation and manuals
  

• Enforce engineering hygiene both in process as well as code quality
  

• Help realize regular delivery cycles using CI/CD and automation
  

• Take accountability for L3 support issues in production and resolve the same promptly using the developer team
  

• Conduct retrospectives that provide transparent technical feedback and inputs to each developer personalized to their skill and experience level
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Should have minimum 7+ years of Development experience & at least 2+ years of experience as a lead on projects involving Javascript, JS frameworks (React, Node),UI frameworks, and Databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB)
  

• Core Javascript knowledge is a must
  

• Experience on cloud-native architectures and cloud deployment is preferred
  

• Experience with building applications for massive scale is a plus
  

• Past history of stakeholder-facing roles with good communication and documentation skills is preferred
  

• Assist in documenting requirements and resolving technical clarification with client
  

• Experience with agile delivery, and automation using CI/CD
  

• Good working knowledge of core computer science topics involving asynchronous processing, service-oriented architectures and distributed systems.
  

• Experience with leading a team of at least 5+ members is a must
