Responsibilities

  • Manage and moderate Wizara's social channels (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Discord) and serve as the voice of Wizara to the artist, collector, and stakeholder communities.
  • Address community questions, solicit feedback, and liaise with internal resources to provide expertise or escalate as needed.
  • Moderate and spur online and offline discussions to strengthen the Wizara brand and cultivate loyalty.
  • Collect and analyze quantitative metrics on content performance and social engagement; report insights to content/marketing teams and help translate feedback into initiatives.

Job description

This is a remote position.

The Wizara team is looking for a Community Manager to grow and develop Wizara's digital community of artists, collectors, and other stakeholders, and serve as a liaison between Wizara and these communities. The role involves the day-to-day management and moderation of social media channels such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Discord, serving as the voice of Wizara and a primary liaison with our users and followers. This role will confidently address community questions and solicit community feedback, providing direct expertise or liaising with the appropriate internal resources, while moderating and spurring discussions - both online and offline - that strengthen the Wizara brand and cultivate loyalty.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated social media savvy, PR experience, and time management skills. Prior experience in corporate or institutional social media management will be essential, and experience with marketing for startups or arts and cultural institutions is preferred
  • Superlative communication abilities, both written and spoken, as well as customer-facing soft skills;
  • Collaborative and proactive attitude as well as a willingness to roll up your sleeves and work actively with content and marketing managers, technical leads, and Wizara's management to communicate community feedback as well as notify stakeholders of initiatives
  • Familiarity with content and customer management platforms like HubSpot, Buffer / Hootsuite, and Wordpress
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, presenting, and acting on quantitative metrics related to content performance and social media engagement. Experience with Google Analytics and social media engagement management tools will be valuable
  • Experience in the moderation of dynamic social media communities, including feed-based platforms (e.g., Twitter, Facebook) as well as real-time conversation spaces (e.g., Clubhouse, Discord), to drive inclusive and engaging community dynamics
  • Fluency in Arabic (and, ideally, proficiency in French) - both linguistically and culturally - is essential.

  • Experience working autonomously alongside a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive team
  • A demonstrated passion for the arts and/or an interest in the economics of art markets
  • Comfort working in a diverse organization with a strong commitment to anti-discrimination and positive social impact
