Our client is a fintech platform that provides founder-friendly working capital and financial advisory services to climate startups and SMBs. They have financed over 30 companies to date and recently launched their new CFO service to expand their support for climate entrepreneurs further.
Job Scope:
They are seeking to hire Accounting Associates & Senior Accountants to join their team. The Accounting Associates & Senior Accountants will be critical in supporting the CFO business, leading bookkeeping, accounting, and other analytics work for their clients. Candidates will work remotely. Working hours for this role are 2PM to 11PM Pakistan time to ensure overlap with client working hours.
Job Duties:
Bookkeeping and accounting for customers, including establishing and maintaining a chart of accounts, monthly reconciliation of transactions, etc.
Manage customer invoices, track payments, and handle collections.
Process vendor bills, ensure timely payments, and maintain accurate records.
Support financial analysis and budgeting processes.
Synthesis of monthly financials into simple reports.
Interfacing with our broader analyst team and company leadership to support other efforts under CFO and the broader Enduring Planet platform.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Minimum of three years work experience in bookkeeping/accounting.
Relevant work experience with startup or SMB customers preferred.
Detailed knowledge of GAAP in the US, Canada, and Europe.
Experience with working in Quickbooks, Excel, Google Sheets, and other comparable platforms.
Strong project management skills.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
CFA Level 1 or more, or ACCA, preferred.
Experience with venture capital, private credit, banking, or related roles a plus.
Experience with one of the Big 4 accounting firms (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, or PwC) a plus.
Past experience working in Climate Change, Sustainability, or related fields a plus.
