Paralegal – Australian Law

Job Description:

We are looking for detail-oriented and experienced Paralegals who have previously supported lawyers and legal teams working within the Australian legal system. This role is ideal for professionals who have experience across one or more of the following practice areas: family law, personal injury, criminal law, conveyancing, or commercial law. Candidates should be comfortable working independently in a remote setting while managing deadlines, legal documentation, and research.

Responsibilities:

• Assist lawyers with case preparation, document drafting, client communication, and court filings.
  

• Conduct legal research and compile case law, statutes, and procedural rules specific to Australian jurisdictions.
  

• Review and prepare legal documents including contracts, briefs, correspondence, and conveyancing materials.
  

• Maintain and manage case files, calendars, and legal databases.
  

• Liaise with clients, court staff, government agencies, and other legal professionals as required.
  

• Support in document discovery and evidence preparation for litigation or case submission.
  

• Ensure compliance with legal procedures and applicable Australian regulations
  

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Legal Studies or Paralegal Studies; Law degrees are a bonus.
  

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal supporting lawyers in any Australian legal practice area.
  

• Strong understanding of Australian legal procedures and terminology.
  

• High proficiency in legal research tools and document management systems.
  

• Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and written/verbal communication skills.
  

• Experience working remotely and independently in a professional legal support capacity.
