This role is suited for commercially minded lawyers who have acted for institutional investors, multinational corporations, or private equity firms across various jurisdictions. A background in cross-border transactions and corporate advisory is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and conduct legal due diligence reviews and prepare detailed reports for clients.

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including opposing counsel, financial advisors, and corporate teams.

  • Deliver high-quality legal and strategic advice under time-sensitive conditions.

  • Stay current with global M&A trends, legal developments, and regulatory updates relevant to transactional work.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, preferably with international or cross-border exposure.

  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand and align with client business goals.

  • Superior drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote setting.

  • Experience with or willingness to work across different time zones to accommodate Australian clients.

  • Familiarity with legal tech tools and modern transaction management platforms.
