Roles & Responsibilities

4-6 years of experience in SAP BODS development and ETL design
Proficiency in SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) and ETL workflow development
Experience integrating data from SAP and non-SAP sources (flat files, Oracle, SQL Server, web services)
Knowledge of performance optimization, error handling, and data validation in BODS, including pushdown optimization and bulk loading

Requirements:

Translate complex business requirements into scalable and efficient ETL architecture and design.
Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows, data mappings, and jobs using SAP BODS.
Monitor and manage ETL job execution through the SAP BODS Central Management Console and other administrative tools.
Ensure all ETL solutions align with organizational data governance and security standards.

Job description

Work Location: Remote

Translate complex business requirements into scalable and efficient ETL architecture and design.
Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows, data mappings, and jobs using SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS).
Integrate data from a wide range of SAP and non-SAP sources including flat files, relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server), and web services.
Apply best practices in performance optimization, error handling, and data validation within BODS jobs.
Leverage SAP integration tools such as iDoc, BAPI, and others to facilitate seamless SAP data migration and synchronization.
Monitor and manage ETL job execution through the SAP BODS Central Management Console and other administrative tools.
Optimize ETL performance using techniques like cache management, parallel data flows, pushdown optimization, and bulk data loading.
Process large datasets efficiently using methods like dynamic splitting and partitioning to enhance performance and reliability.
Generate and maintain comprehensive reports for pre-load validation, post-load verification, and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy.
Adhere to project deadlines, data quality benchmarks, and industry best practices in ETL development.
Actively troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement timely resolutions to minimize data and process disruptions.
Engage with business and technical stakeholders to clearly communicate requirements, updates, and technical challenges.
Participate in peer code reviews, documentation efforts, and knowledge transfer initiatives to foster continuous team improvement.
Ensure all ETL solutions align with organizational data governance and security standards.
