Need Core DB engineers (Oracle/SQL Server)
Install and configure the database instances for optimal performance and security.
Optimize database performance to ensure applications run smoothly without performance bottlenecks.
Ensuring the database is secure against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
Ensuring the database remains available even during failures and can be quickly restored to a previous, stable state if needed.
Regularly applying patches and upgrades to the database system to ensure it's up-to-date with the latest features, performance improvements, and security fixes.
Planning for future resource needs based on usage trends
Migrating data between versions of a DBMS (e.g., from Oracle 13c to 19c)
Migration databases from On-Prem to AWS Cloud services.
Performing cross-platform data migrations (e.g., from SQL Server to MySQL)
Integrating databases with external systems (ETL processes, third-party APIs)
Keeping detailed records of database configurations, changes, incidents, and processes to ensure consistency, knowledge sharing, and compliance.
