Roles & Responsibilities

Experience with EnterpriseDB PostgreSQL and Postgres Enterprise Manager (PEM)
Experience with backup/restore strategies and tools such as Barman and pg_basebackup; strong HA knowledge (streaming replication, WAL replication, Patroni/EFM)
Familiarity with PostgreSQL migrations using Ora2pg, Migration Portal, or Migration Toolkit
Automation and scripting skills (Shell, Python, Ansible) and ability to work in an Agile environment (Jira)

Title: Senior Database Engineer (Postgres)
Location: 100% Remote (EST/ CST)
Type: Contract

Job Description:

Supporting EnterpriseDB PostgreSQL
Building and configuring PostgreSQL environments
Leading complex PostgreSQL datacenter migration projects
Supporting Postgres Enterprise Manager (PEM)
Using migration tools such as Ora2pg, Migration Portal, and/or Migration Toolkit • Backup / restore strategies and using such as Barman and pg_basebackup
High Availability strategies: streaming replication, WAL replication, EFM
Supporting Patroni clusters
Developing automation via shell scripting, Python, Ansible.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in an Agile team using Jira
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong communication, technical documentation, and interpersonal skills
