Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Database Administrator with strong expertise in Software AG ADABAS to support a large-scale mainframe platform environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database administration, performance optimization, system integration, and ongoing maintenance of critical mainframe systems.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain 60+ ADABAS databases in a large-scale (9TB+) mainframe environment
Support integration with ADABAS Security, ADABAS interface routines, Natural, Natural Security, Entire NetWork, AOS, Review, and SQL Gateway
Monitor, analyze, and optimize performance across ADABAS, Natural, Entire NetWork, and SQL Gateway
Execute backup, restore, and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability
Perform software upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance across Software AG products
Troubleshoot and resolve system, database, and application performance issues
Maintain and update technical documentation, processes, and procedures
Required Technical Skills
Extensive hands-on experience with Software AG ADABAS database administration
Strong proficiency in Natural programming language, Natural One, and Natural Security
Experience working with IBM z/OS operating system
Familiarity with TPX, TSO, and batch JCL
