About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Shopify Developer that will join our e-commerce client (that manages a portfolio of e-commerce food brands) and be responsible for creating, modifying, optimizing, and maintaining Shopify/Shopify+ websites. You’ll need to be extremely familiar with the Shopify ecosystem and have the technical skills to fully customize websites from scratch (or from a Figma file). Your goal is to consistently improve the performance and conversion rate of the websites as well as enhance the UX for customers interacting with the sites. The right candidate will have a growth marketing focus and will integrate deeply as a core member of this team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Shopify/Shopify+ websites
  • Own and manage all aspects of Shopify sites, with full responsibility for UX, UI, and conversion
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and growth teams to rapidly test and implement features that increase customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value
  • Build, maintain, and optimize the sites so that it converts well and achieves target KPIs
  • Implement A/B tests, landing pages, and CRO experiments
  • Integrate marketing tools such as Klaviyo, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, and others
  • Collaborate with growth marketers to launch campaigns, track performance, and iterate quickly
  • Develop custom functionality or use Shopify APIs and apps to enhance user experience and backend operations
  • Improve site speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall performance
  • Stay current with Shopify updates, eCommerce best practices, and growth trends
  • Ensure that all Shopify websites are optimized for performance, security, and usability
  • Ensure that all deadlines are met and all work is produced in a timely manner
  • Perform ad hoc special project tasks when needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 3+ years of experience working with Shopify/Shopify+, Shopify Storefront API, and Shopify Liquid
  • Experience with Shopify custom theme development a must
  • Experience working on DTC brands or subscription eCommerce businesses
  • Solid understanding of Liquid, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Figma
  • Experience working with Shopify Plus and headless architectures is a plus
  • Familiarity with key growth marketing tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, GA4, Meta Ads, Google Tag Manager)
  • Proven track record of contributing to eCommerce growth via site optimizations or A/B testing
  • Understanding of SEO fundamentals and site performance best practices
  • Professional fluency in English with top-tier written, reading, and speaking skills
  • Permanent access to a computer with reliable and high-speed Internet connection
  • Ability to work in US Eastern Time, Monday to Friday (8 hours per day)
  • Previous experience working the graveyard shift
