Roles & Responsibilities

  • Licensed to practice as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT (or eligible to obtain licensure) in the multi-state region with no license restrictions.
  • Completed an accredited graduate program in counseling, social work, or psychology and eligible for licensure.
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in general outpatient psychotherapy for children and adolescents; comfortable with individual, group, and family modalities; evidence-based approaches.
  • Willingness to provide outreach services and collaborate with integrated care teams; teaching/mentoring or medical education involvement is expected.

Requirements:

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy for children and adolescents using evidence-based outpatient approaches.
  • Collaborate with hospital-based physicians and integrated care teams; engage in outreach services and multidisciplinary collaboration; participate in teaching and supervision of students, residents, or clinicians.
  • Work in-person or tele-health modalities with options for flexible hours (including evening/weekend) and possible remote work.
  • Contribute to teaching, research, and medical education initiatives as part of a collaborative behavioral health department.

Job description

We are growing! Seeking a licensed therapist with training and interest in general outpatient psychotherapy with children & adolescents. The ideal therapist for this position will be comfortable with individual, group, and family therapy modalities, utilizing an evidence-based approach to treating a wide range of presenting problems in children and adolescents. Referral sources are physician colleagues from across the hospital system, as well as integrated care. Many opportunities for involvement in collaboration groups and ongoing training are available. 

Gundersen Health System, based in La Crosse, Wisconsin, is seeking a full-time Clinical Therapist (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) to join the Behavioral Health Department.   The applicant must have completed an accredited program and be eligible to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations.  Advanced practice clinicians work under the direct supervision of a physician.  Clinician staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system.  Teaching students, residents, fellows or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all clinicians.

In person and tele-health modalities of care are available, as is the opportunity to work from home or to have flexible hours (evening or weekend) for a portion of your FTE, if desired.
