The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:

As part of our oneRTX Enterprise Services Adoption efforts, the Application Portfolio Manager Lead within the Digital function will play a key role in strengthening visibility, governance, and strategic alignment across the application landscape. This role drives digital maturity by promoting lifecycle discipline and data‑driven decision‑making, ensuring the portfolio evolves in support of business and technology priorities.

Partnering closely with architecture, governance, finance, and business teams, the manager translates portfolio insights into actionable recommendations that reduce redundancy, improve efficiency, and guide the organization toward a more modern and cost‑effective application environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Strategic Portfolio Leadership 

  • Manages the Corporate Application Portfolio, ensuring accurate data, clear ownership, and alignment with business goals. 

  • Define the long-term direction for how applications are assessed, governed, and improved. 

  • Governance & Lifecycle Stewardship 

  • Develop and enhance governance frameworks that promote accountability, reduce redundancy, and meet security and architectural standards. 

  • Provide leadership with insights that guide investment decisions, risk management, and technology planning. 

  • ServiceNow Hands-on Experience 

  • Oversee the migration from legacy APM tools to ServiceNow as the enterprise system of record. 

  • Design data flows, reporting structures, and adoption practices to maximize platform value. 

  • Cross Functional Collaboration 

  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Finance, and Business Units to ensure shared ownership of the application portfolio. 

  • Lead workshops and governance forums to align stakeholders and integrate APM practices into delivery processes. 

  • Continuous improvement 

  • Use Agile methods to refine APM processes, improve data quality, and streamline workflows. 

  • Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and enhance portfolio insights and governance maturity. 

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or related field (advanced degree preferred) with 10+ years of experience.

  • 8+ years of experience leading enterprise application portfolio management or related technology governance functions. 

  • Expertise with ServiceNow APM or similar portfolio management platforms. 

  • Demonstrated success establishing governance frameworks, lifecycle processes, and portfolio controls. 

  • Strong background in Agile methodologies and cross functional collaboration.

  • Exceptional communication and executive level influencing skills. 

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience integrating legacy APM tools into ServiceNow. 

  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture, IT financial management, or technology risk management.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
