Job Title: WordPress Developer — Master-Level Internship

Level: Master’s Level Internship

Status: Full-time

Department: Marketing & Communications Department

Duration: Equivalent to minimum 520 Hours (or 3 months minimum)

Work location: Fully remote (with opportunity to work hybrid from Toronto or Chicago)

Compensation: Hourly (paid in equity compensation equivalent to CAD $32-35/hour)

The Vosyn internship is unique. Remuneration is equivalent to $32.00 CAD per hour payable in common shares of the Corporation at the then fair market value. For greater clarity, NO cash in-hand (in hourly rate or salary) will be paid to the Intern. Instead, Vosyn being an AI start-up, the upside is in potential future value of said shares based on the hours worked, billed and approved.

About the Job: We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to join our Website team within the Marketing and Communication department. This role involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing our WordPress website to ensure a seamless user experience and strong brand representation. The ideal candidate is skilled in front-end and back-end development, has a keen eye for detail, and is passionate about creating high-quality websites. Key Responsibilities:

• Website Development and Maintenance: Build, update, and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring functionality, speed, and accessibility across devices and browsers.
• Customization and Theme Development: Develop custom WordPress themes, templates, and plugins to support unique website features and requirements.
• SEO and Performance Optimization: Optimize website speed, SEO elements, and performance to improve search engine rankings and user experience.
• Content and Design Integration: Collaborate with the content and design teams to implement visually appealing layouts, graphics, and multimedia elements.
• Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and resolve technical issues, perform regular website audits, and ensure site security and stability.
• Plugin Management: Manage and update plugins to maintain website functionality, security, and compatibility with the latest WordPress versions.
• Analytics and Reporting: Use tools like Google Analytics to monitor website performance, track user engagement, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
• Stay Updated with WordPress Trends: Keep up with the latest WordPress developments, industry trends, and best practices to ensure the website remains innovative and competitive.

About You:

• Currently pursuing an MBA or related Master’s field degree, with a focus on communications or marketing.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present insights to cross-functional teams effectively.
• Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with a solid understanding of responsive design.
• Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development/customization.
• Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and performance monitoring tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a dynamic startup environment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, working effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Passion for marketing and a desire to learn and grow in the field.

We do have some flexibility with possible Part-time placements providing it is to accommodate for academic responsibilities or visa restrictions but the total hours required remains the same. Recruitment Process:

2. Written Questionnaire: Selected candidates will receive a set of 10 written questions to assess their fit and technical knowledge..
3. Video Questionnaire: Candidates who successfully pass the written assessment will be asked to answer 10 additional questions to be submitted in a video format to further evaluate their skills and cultural fit. The ability to video record your answers will be required.
4. Evaluation: Our team will review the responses to both questionnaires. Candidates who meet our criteria will be invited to the next stage.
5. Orientation Session: Successful candidates will be invited to participate in an orientation session where they will learn more about Vosyn, our projects, and what to expect during the internship. After this session, you will be given the opportunity to opt-in if you believe that this internship is for you.
