Roles & Responsibilities

6+ years of database administration and development experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and other DB platforms in AWS
Expert-level hands-on experience in a cloud-based database engineering ecosystem like AWS
Strong experience in database management and administration in an AWS environment
Working proficiency in a Linux environment

Requirements:

Collaborate with DevOps, Architecture, Product Management, Engineering, Customer Experience, Information Security, and other groups to support MSSQL database initiatives across the organization
Provide database design recommendations and perform DBA activities including development and production support; create new databases and decommission databases in Prod and non-production environments
Design and execute data migration, backup and recovery strategies; ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness
Participate in database design, data architecture and data modeling; drive database optimization for development and production systems in collaboration with development and infrastructure teams

Primary skills: MSSQL DBA, HA, AND DR

Job Description:

The Sr. DBA will work with DevOps, Architecture, Product Management, Engineering, Customer Experience, Information Security, and other groups across the organization.
The DBA will provide database design recommendations and conduct DBA activities including development and production support.
DBA will create new Databases and decommission Databases in Prod and Non-Production environments.
DBA will design and conduct data migration, database backup & recovery.
Sr. DBA will be involved in Database Design and Data Architecture/ Data Modelling
Also, the main activities will include the Database optimization of the development and production systems working with development and infrastructure teams.
6++ years of Database Administration and development experience with SQL Server, Postgres, and any other database platforms in AWS Environment.
Good experience in Database Management, Database Administration in an AWS environment
Expert-level hands-on experience in a cloud-based database engineering ecosystem like AWS.
Understanding of scalable computing systems, data architecture/data modeling, software architecture, database structures, and algorithms.
Working proficiency in a Linux environment.
