Roles & Responsibilities

  • Experience in data mining and ETL operations/tools.
  • Strong knowledge of HDFS, Hadoop ecosystem (MapReduce, RDD, Spark DataFrame, PySpark) and related concepts.
  • Proficiency with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) and Big Data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark); high proficiency with Pig, Hive, Sqoop and Kafka.
  • AWS and/or Azure cloud knowledge with Big Data stack; SQL and NoSQL databases; data preparation, cleaning, wrangling; statistics, R/Python, and machine learning fundamentals.

Requirements:

  • Deliver instructor-led and online training programs on Data Engineering and Big Data technologies, including hands-on labs on Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Kafka, and cloud data services.
  • Develop, maintain, and update curricula, training materials, labs, and assessments; design practical projects and exercises.
  • Mentor and evaluate learners, provide feedback, track learning outcomes, and adapt instruction for diverse skill levels.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to tailor content to industry needs and ensure alignment with current tools and best practices.

Job description

Key Responsibilities (Functional)

Technical Skills Mandatory

Experience in Data Mining and ETL Operations/Tools.

Sound understanding and knowledge of HDFS, Hadoop System, Map Reduce, RDD, Spark DataFrame, PySpark with related concepts is imperative.

Experience using Business Intelligence Tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) and Big Data Frameworks (e.g. Hadoop, Spark).

High proficiency in Pig, Hive, Sqoop and Kafka.

AWS and/or Azure knowledge especially with Big Data Stack.

High proficiency with Standard Database skills (e.g., SQL), NoSQL Databases, Data Preparation, Cleaning, and Wrangling/Munging.

Sound foundation and advanced level understanding of Statistics, R Programming, Python, and Machine Learning.
