Procurement Manager - Facilities, Capex & MRO - REMOTE

  • Location: Des Moines, IA
  • Schedule: Hybrid! 100% Remote
  • Reports To: V.P. Procurement North America
  • Travel: 10-15% within the USA required, as needed for completion of projects
  • Pay: $100,000 to $111,000 annually + 15% Annual Bonus
  • Total OTE: $115,000 - $127,650

Job Purpose/Overview

The ideal candidate will manage purchasing categories, for Indirect goods and services, at a regional level, for our clients big family of brands. This position has a primary focus on sourcing strategy creation and execution, to deliver long term competitive advantage, by maximizing value creation, and managing risk to the business. The ideal candidate will manages regional initiatives by leveraging supplier relationships and strategic partnerships, to drive standardization across the region where feasible. He/she works collaboratively with many cross functional partners to develop and implement sourcing strategies and standards by applying key procurement processes (e.g. responsible sourcing, supplier performance relationship management, contracting standards, etc.).

Position Summary:

  • Lead procurement and supplier management activities for assigned spend categories
  • Manage indirect categories including Facilities Management, Capital Equipment, MRO and Utilities for production, warehouse and office locations
  • Work closely with key stakeholders in other business units to develop effective category strategies, cost reduction opportunities and implementation plans
  • Establish & maintain relationships with internal clients (such as business unit leads for Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, etc.)
  • Maximize savings with bottom line impact, including year-over-year productivity improvements in TCO while maintaining or improving quality and service levels

Essential Functions

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies by executing all steps of the strategic sourcing process and applying the appropriate tools for the market category (routine, leverage, bottleneck, critical)
  • Synthesize business needs and drive standardization of specifications
  • Analyze supplier landscape, select vendors and lead negotiation process
  • Develop and implement regional contracts and related service level agreements for the respective categories (securing price, volume rebates, capacity & service levels in line with the needs of the business).
  • Manage vendors, monitor performance and compliance with guidelines
  • Drive annual productivity improvements (total cost) in each spend category
  • Build sourcing category expertise to provide market and financial insights and inputs to the operating plan process

Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications (Please only apply if you meet ALL of these qualifications)

  • 5+ year track record within Procurement; track record of driving change
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree (preferred)
  • Previous experience working within Manufacturing and/ or Consumable Goods.
  • Previous experience required with one or more of the following categories: Facility Management, MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations), Capital Equipment, Utilities
