Associate IT Backup & Recovery Services Specialist (Remote)

Engio is partnering with a global client to find a dedicated Backup Operations Engineer to join their 24/7 service team. This is a crucial entry-point role where you will learn the fundamentals of mission-critical data security and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily health checks, monitor alerts, and execute routine backup jobs across diverse client environments.
• Handle, triage, and resolve Level 1/2 incidents and service requests related to failed backups, working within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Learn and apply fundamental troubleshooting techniques for Windows Server, networking (DNS, DHCP), and virtualization layers (VMware).
• Log all activities accurately and assist in keeping Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) up-to-date.
• Work designated shifts, participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, and learn directly from senior engineers.

Requirements

• 1+ years of practical experience in IT operations, specifically focused on backup or disaster recovery operations.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server OS and foundational knowledge of core networking concepts (TCP/IP).
• Familiarity with incident/request management systems (e.g., ITIL) and basic exposure to storage and VMware vSphere concepts.
