Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prior experience in the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) industry or healthcare industry
  • Experience completing Project Plans and IRADs
  • Experience as a PM in a Waterfall environment

Requirements:

  • Manage multiple projects (3-4 at a time) through the full project lifecycle across Waterfall, Release, and Agile methodologies, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk management
  • Create and maintain PM artifacts (work breakdown structures, integrated project plans, issue/risk logs, project financials, status reports, meeting minutes, change logs) and align with Prime Project Lifecycle standards
  • Coordinate with business, technology, governance, IT leadership, vendors, distributors, and clients to deliver objectives and ensure superior customer and client experience; resolve conflicts
  • Provide coaching to project teams; support PM Practice development and continuous improvement; drive project management rigor and stakeholder reporting

Job Description:

We are looking for 3 Project Managers with at least 7+ years of IT experience and Pharmacy Benefit Management or Healthcare domain experience.

*Any Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) domain experience is highly preferred.

*This Team still follows Waterfall methodology. These resources will need to provide examples of how they managed and delivered projects in Waterfall on the interview.

The Project Manager manages multiple projects, working in concert with the business, technology and other stakeholders to meet the overall goals in terms of scope, quality, budget, issue/risk management and schedule. The Project Manager will provide business and technical expertise to the approach of driving out effective planning and management of all workstreams. The role integrates plans, delivers business outcomes, advocates the project management discipline and drives project management rigor throughout Prime. Manage multiple medium sized projects or one large project working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure superior customer and client experience.

Job Duties:

• Adhere to the project management discipline and standards in accordance with the Prime Project Lifecycle methodology, with the responsibility to complete all Project Management (PM) - related artifacts (i.e. work breakdown structures, integrated project plans, issue/risk logs, project financials, status reports, meeting minutes and change logs)
• Manage projects through the entire lifecycle using multiple methodologies (i.e. release, Waterfall, Agile): Initiation, Planning, Execution and Closure, applying issue/risk management or change control in terms of scope, schedule, cost and quality
• Diagnose and address business and technical issues/risks to facilitate and help drive business and technical resources towards resolution or mitigation plans to ensure adherence to project scope, schedule and budget
• Promote a common understanding of project timelines, milestones, critical path and financials in order to align project stakeholders and team members, by providing reporting to stakeholders and project leadership per Project Management (PM) Practice standards
• Interface with all areas impacted by the project including governance, business and IT leadership and stakeholders, distributors, vendors and clients, ensuring all business objectives are successfully delivered
• Resolve internal and external team conflict to ensure alignment to the project objectives and adherence to project schedule and budget
• Provide informal coaching to project teams and stakeholders
• Support PM Practice development and continuous improvement efforts as needed
• Other duties as assigned

On average, the typical Project Manager on this team will be supporting 3-4 projects at once.

Desired Experience:

At least 5+ years of PM experience in the PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Management) industry or healthcare industry
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.

Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time.

Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.

Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.

Strong knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.
