Back End Symfony Developer

Location: Remote (MUST BE RESIDING IN THE PHILIPPINES)

Job Overview: Are you a skilled Back End Symfony Developer with a passion for crafting clean and efficient code? We are seeking a talented individual with at least 5 years of experience in Symfony and PHP development. Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design and implement new features while maintaining existing functionalities.
• Write clean, scalable, and well-tested code.
• ️ Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and product managers for seamless feature integration.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain core product software and databases for optimization and functionality.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Implement security and data protection measures.
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in PHP, with at least 3 years in Symfony Framework.
• Understanding of MVC design patterns.
• In-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and Symfony 5 PHP Framework.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
• Proficiency with version control tools, preferably Git.
• ️ Strong knowledge of common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
• ️ Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable applications.
• Understanding of "session management" in a distributed server environment.
• ️ Experience in integrating multiple data sources and databases into one system.
• ️ Understanding of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Google Cloud.
• Ability to write clear and concise code following best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• ️ Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ️ Experience with other PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel).
• Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, CSS).
• Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies.
• Familiarity with TDD/BDD concepts and writing unit tests using PHP Unit.
• Agile/Scrum experience.
