Job description

The Technical Business Analyst will aid our Engineering team in handling day-to-day technical requests while also providing project support to our Product team. This key role allows Wantable to innovate and develop new products in a fast-paced environment while ensuring that our internal team's needs are met. It requires a team player who can manage multiple tasks, is a stellar communicator, ruthless prioritizer, and master problem solver. Primary responsibilities range from performing user acceptance testing, answering system-related questions, handling ad-hoc technical requests, vetting new feature requests, logging features & bugs, and taking meeting notes.

This position reports directly to the Director of Engineering and will interface with Engineering, Product and all other internal teams at Wantable.

  • Perform quality assurance (QA) testing for new features and bug fixes
  • Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) for larger technical projects 
  • Ask clarifying questions, reproduce issues and route tasks to appropriate team members
  • Assist with Jira task, backlog and sprint organization
  • Proactively surface improvements around tools and team processes
  • Review bugs and feature requests submitted to our team, taking note of impact, priority and possible solutions
  • Create, manage and maintain technical documentation
  • Take detailed meeting notes
  • Have excellent organization and communication skills 
  • Can be effective in managing multiple tasks or issues at once
  • Are proactive when it comes to learning new things and surfacing new ideas
  • Have the desire to find solutions, but also know when to ask for help
  • Are humble in conversation, but confident in your skills
  • You are a “doer” who is not afraid to roll up your sleeves and jump in to get the job done
  • 3+ years of experience managing or supporting technical projects
  • 3+ years of experience with hands-on QA or UAT testing
  • 3+ years experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment
  • Proficiency with Jira, or equivalent project/task management software
  • Excellent English communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to think quickly, clearly and problem-solve on the fly
  • Top notch organizational and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated with a positive, proactive attitude
  • Ability to be available and work within US business hours
    • 8:30am-5:30pm CST (US) // 9:30pm-6:30am PHT (PH)
  • College degree in a technical or related field
  • Proficiency with MacBook laptops MacOS
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Gmail, Chat, Docs, Sheets), or equivalent software
  • Experience writing SQL queries and performing data analysis
  • Experience owning and leading technical projects
  • Experience contributing to software development lifecycles
  • Experience writing technical documentation for features, projects or processes
