Description Position: BI Developer Location: Seattle, WA (100% remote, PST time zone)
Project: As part of consolidating 2 Datawarehouses into 1 EDW and moving to Snowflake and Azure cloud technologies, the reporting team is migrating all their reports from MSRS (Microsoft Reporting Services) to Tableau, to create one analytics platform as part of this big EDW initiative. This team uses very formal SDLC processes, so it's important the right match has experience with formal requirements gathering from the business, checking code into a repository (they use.....) peer development review, test coordination with requirements and a strict process of approval before moving code into production.
1 BI Developer – working 100% remote PST, prefer candidate to live in Washington state
Required skills:
5+ years' experience in a BI Developer role – Tableau preferred (or Power BI or other analytic tool)
Snowflake, AWS/Azure experience
Healthcare, health insurance preferred (healthcare provider secondary)
SQL queries (rate 6 out of 10 at least) and be able to write basic joins, basic grouping, write CTEs (common table expression)
Writing some technical specs and mapping documents (20%) and doing 80% development.
Strong SDLC process experience with strong documentation skills. (VERY important - this is why the previous consultant did not work out)
Super bonus points for healthcare background or higher education, enterprise-level experience.
