Job Description – Automation & IT Solutions Lead 

 

About the Role 

Pro Staffing is scaling fast and needs a hands-on technologist who can design and ship recruitment automations and act as an internal “go-to” for wider tech issues. You’ll: 

  • Broadcast vacancies to every major job board from a single source and flow applications back into Parim with full data. 

  • Deploy AI tools for CV parsing, candidate rediscovery, chat-bot pre-screening and compliance checks. 

  • Replace manual spreadsheets with live kanban-style dashboards and daily productivity reports. 

  • Provide tier-2 tech support across core SaaS tools (Parim, Zoho, O365, Slack, etc.), helping users troubleshoot and documenting fixes. 

  • Partner with the CTO to advise on infrastructure, security basics and new IT initiatives (e.g., n8n self-hosting, cloud migration, endpoint management). 

You’ll prototype quickly, build or coordinate the team needed for production, and keep the broader IT footprint running smoothly. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  1. Automation Roadmap – translate pain-points into a 12-month backlog with ROI projections. 

  1. System Integration & Low-Code Builds – own APIs, n8n/Zapier/Make flows, serverless scripts. 

  1. AI & Data Projects – lead CV-matching, chatbot, licence-verification pilots; evaluate buy-vs-build. 

  1. Dashboards & Reporting – deliver Power BI/Tableau or custom dashboards plus daily activity digests. 

  1. Compliance Automation – implement automated reference/licence checks and document-expiry reminders. 

  1. Tech Support (Tier-2) – resolve escalated user issues, create knowledge-base articles, liaise with vendors. 

  1. General IT Assistance – advise on SSO, endpoint security, backups, basic network/cloud best practices. 

  1. Project & Vendor Management – scope, budget, negotiate, track external partners. 

  1. Change Enablement – train non-technical staff, measure adoption, iterate on feedback.

Requirements 

Must-Have: 

  • 4 + yrs building automations or integrations in ATS/CRM/HRIS or staffing context. 

  • Proven skills with n8n, Zapier/Make or direct API scripting (Python/Node). 

  • Experience supporting SaaS stacks (e.g., O365, Slack, Zoho) and troubleshooting user issues. 

  • Familiar with REST/GraphQL, webhooks, relational DBs; can read basic logs and debug errors. 

  • Delivered at least one AI/NLP project (CV parsing, chat-bots, classification). 

  • Strong project-management and communication skills; able to translate tech for non-tech teams. 

Nice to Have: 

  • Knowledge of Parim, Bullhorn, or other staffing platforms. 

  • Exposure to UK healthcare/education recruitment compliance (DBS, NMC, HCPC). 

  • Trust ID/Onfido or similar ID-verification APIs experience. 

  • Cloud & DevOps basics (Docker, CI/CD, AWS/Azure admin). 

  • Power BI/Tableau or Superset data-visualisation experience.
