About PE Group

PE Group is undertaking an exciting HR transformation journey to enhance the way we deliver people processes, compliance, and employee experience across our multi-entity business. We are looking for a proactive and hands-on HR Manager to support the successful delivery of our HR Improvement Plan during a period of maternity cover.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional who thrives in project delivery, process improvement, and operational HR implementation. You’ll play a key role in ensuring HR systems, policies, and processes are improved, embedded, and operating effectively across the Group.

The Role

As the HR Manager, you will take day-to-day responsibility for implementing our HR Project Plan. Working closely with the HR Consultants and internal stakeholders, you will coordinate multiple workstreams — including benchmarking, process mapping, compliance reviews, and policy development.

You’ll combine strong HR operational experience with excellent project management skills to deliver tangible results in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the hands-on delivery of the HR Improvement Plan, ensuring milestones are met.
  • Manage multiple HR workstreams, including policy development, benchmarking, and compliance.
  • Review and document current HR processes, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Draft and implement updated HR policies aligned with best practice and legislation.
  • Support completion of pay benchmarking and reward reviews.
  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities, including job adverts, shortlisting, and offer management.
  • Deliver training to line managers on new HR processes and policies.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and leadership teams to ensure smooth delivery of all actions and reports.
  • Provide clear updates, reports, and recommendations to the Senior HR Consultant.

About You

We’re looking for a confident, organised, and delivery-focused HR professional who enjoys seeing projects through to completion.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Proven experience in HR project delivery or HR operations, ideally within a multi-entity or international setting.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, processes, and compliance.
  • Excellent organisational and documentation skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management ability.
  • Skilled in Excel, reporting tools, and HR systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.

Desirable:

  • Experience in reward benchmarking or HR analytics.
  • Familiarity with employment practices in both the UK, Finland, India, Nigeria, Philippines and South Africa.
  • Previous experience in HR transformation or process improvement projects.

Contract Details

  • Contract: 12months (maternity cover)
  • Hours: Full-time, flexible working available
  • Location: Primarily remote, at least 2 days in Head Office per week
  • Start: Immediate / as soon as possible
