MasterClass is an immersive online experience, which gives everyone the opportunity to learn from the world's best practitioners. Every class was created by the instructor and includes extensive pre-recorded video content, an instructor's guide, interactive assignments, and community activities.
Founded in 2014 (originally as Yanka Industries, Inc.) by Stanford student David Rogier, MasterClass—an online education platform—launched its website the following May with only three instructors. Twelve classes were later added in 2017 before the total drastically jumped to fifty by 2018. In 2021, MasterClass received a $2.75 billion evaluation by CNBC.
Over the years, MasterClass has grown to offer a variety of courses under the following categories:
MasterClass classes are taught by respected and renowned experts in a series of high-quality video lessons totaling between two and four hours of video per course. Each course is divided up into ten to fifteen video lessons that last about ten to twelve minutes per lesson.
About the Role
MasterClass is seeking a driven Revenue Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the company’s revenue accounting functions, which include reconciling and validating revenue data across 3rd party payment platforms, accurately applying cash collections to the customer’s account using appropriate accounting and business management software, and performing month-end close activities. We’re looking for a problem solver with strong attention to detail and experience dealing with a large volume of sales data, who can bring their experience to MasterClass to help build the foundation of our industry-defining accounting department.
