PPCHead Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement capacity planning strategies for production on the shop floor.
• Monitor and adjust production planning to meet customer schedules.
• Ensure raw materials are available according to production plan.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and stores, to ensure material availability.
• Develop planning based on Bill of Materials (BOM) required for dispatch plan.
• Collaborate with design department to ensure updated documents are available for production.
• Create dispatch plan according to customer schedule and release it to production department.
• Ensure production plan is in accordance with dispatch plan.
• Release full kit plan to stores department in accordance with production plan.
• Communicate any changes in production plan to design department that may affect planned dispatch date.
• Maintain record of changes in engineering specifications implemented in production.
• Maintain production data and update display board and softcopy.
• Monitor and measure production objectives.
• Ensure physical raw material stock matches ERP stock.
• Coordinate with production and account departments as coordinator for WIP stock.
• Monitor OEE and plan versus actual performance.
• Coordinate with purchasing, stores, and accounting departments for new material requirements.
• Maintain KAIZEN and coordinate with QMS department.
• Prepare MRM presentation.

• Authority:

  • Responsible for overall capacity planning for production on the shop floor.
  • Responsible for monitoring and adjusting production planning according to the customer schedule.
  • Responsible for ensuring raw material availability as per planning.
  • Responsible for coordinating with other departments, such as purchasing and stores, to ensure material availability.
  • Responsible for collaborating with design department to ensure updated documents are available for production on the shop floor.
  • Responsible for creating dispatch plans according to customer schedules and releasing them to the production department.
  • Responsible for ensuring production plan has been prepared by the production team in accordance with the dispatch plan.
  • Responsible for releasing a full kit plan to stores department in accordance with the production plan.
  • Responsible for communicating with design department about any changes in the production plan that could affect the planned dispatch date.
  • To maintain record of changes implemented in production and ensuring data is accurately updated and displayed.
  • Responsible for monitoring and measuring production objectives.
  • Responsible for ensuring physical raw material stock matches ERP stock.
  • Playing an important role in WIP (STOCK) as a coordinator for production and account departments.
  • Responsible for OEE monitoring and plan versus actual performance.
  • Responsible for coordinating with purchasing, stores, and accounting departments for new material requirements.
  • Responsible for maintaining KAIZEN and coordinating with QMS department for the same.
  • Responsible for preparing MRM presentation.
