Job description

Our client is expanding its R&D development team in Romania! To support the stronger demand for our clients datadriven solutions and as part of the strategy to expand, our client is currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer.

As a Data Engineer, you will have an exciting opportunity to contribute to our clients core data management project and build innovative solutions leveraging data services.

To succeed in this role, you must know how to examine new data system requirements and implement migration models, and also have proven experience in data analysis and management, with excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Examines and identifies database structural necessities by evaluating operations, applications, and programming. Oversees the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions
Understands the needs around identified use cases and translates them into structured data in data warehousesdata marts
Builds an endtoend layered data pipeline
Identifies commonalities between use cases to create a data catalog
Builds a master data management
Automates the quality assessment of unstructured data coming from existing products
Monitors the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new features
Expected outcomes (accountability)
Installs and organizes information systems to guarantee feature completeness
Recommends solutions to improve new and existing datarelated base (sub)systems – database, ETL engine, BI engine, etc.
Makes technical decisions in projects under their responsibility
Supports company’s ambitions towards data management by training others
Reviews & audits implementations
Occasional visits to Paris, Den Haag, possibly others

Key Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field
Around 4 5 years experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of database structure systems
Excellent technical and analytical skills
Impactful decision maker
Problem solver with a “can do”, positive and pragmatic attitude
Fluent English is a musthave
Programming Languages: Python is a musthave, .NET Java C++ Bash are nice to have
