Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday — Flexible (Leesburg, DC — EST)
Total Weekly Hours: 20 Hours

Scope

  • Direct reporting relationship with company leadership

  • Immediate start required due to urgent business needs

  • Monthtomonth agreement with a 90day probationary period

  • Remote work arrangement with secure data handling protocols

    • Responsibilities
      • Reconcile accounts and record daily financial transactions

      • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

      • Handle invoicing and billing operations

      • Monitor and review employee timesheets for accuracy

      • Oversee payroll processes through the Gusto payroll system

      • Perform basic accounting analysis and prepare financial reports

      • Support various administrative tasks as needed

      • Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online

      • Assist with monthend and yearend closing procedures


        • Requirements

          • Proven experience in bookkeeping and basic accounting

          • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (certification preferred)

          • Experience with payroll systems, preferably Gusto

          • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping

          • Ability to handle both bookkeeping and administrative tasks

          • Experience working with USbased clients and accounting standards

          • Comfortable managing confidential financial information

          • Strong communication skills for working directly with business leadership
