Job description

ABOUT THE TEAM

As part of the Marketing & Strategy insights team, segment marketing managers own the go-to-market strategy for one of our defined audiences. In this role, you’ll focus on collecting and translating market, competitor, and customer insights into thoughtfully designed & orchestrated marketing campaigns that activate & engage both prospects and existing customers.

YOUR MISSION

As a Segment Marketing Manager, you will develop and own the market story for a defined audience. To do so, you’ll build and maintain the vision of how we best market to and retain customers across their end-to-end journey, caring as much about awareness as you do about retention. This role requires you to be an active catalyst for continuous improvement: whether you’re mining for new data and insights with our data partners, or collecting and amplifying the stories of customers back to our product, sales and success teams, you’ll be leading segment-level initiatives forward that align with our business goals and objectives.

Segment assignments are based upon your background and experience, and will be determined during the interview process.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Develop a segment marketing strategy - identify what works and what could be improved, inclusive of research, campaign development, and segment health measurement

  • Drive segment campaign development within the marketing team, working collaboratively with channel owners and the project management team to ideate, plan, and execute best-in-class marketing plays with measurable outcomes

  • Speak for your segment - you’ll act as the central source of segment truth, bringing together insights and stories back from the field that can educate, inform, and help others make better decisions

  • Engage with prospects and customers regularly - a critical element of success in this role requires you to feel comfortable speaking with people you don’t know, asking thought-provoking questions, and being a representative of the company

  • Partner with Product to identify utilization and adoption metrics, key feature benefits, and stay aligned with our roadmap so that you can keep your segment engaged, identifying opportunities to connect with your audience(s) in new or innovative ways

  • Partner with Sales & Sales Enablement to swap key insights that can improve either marketing or sales outcomes, collaborating on activation materials to help sellers and customer success teams engage with prospective or existing customers

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • SAAS experience is required (familiarity with SAAS metrics, digital channels and product-led growth models)

  • 6+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with proven ability to develop, launch, and manage multiple integrated marketing campaigns

  • Experience marketing to buyers and users within technical, revenue, or brand-centered roles and/or teams (e.g., product/innovation teams, sales/RevOps, or marketing teams)

  • Skilled at translating customer insights into actionable strategy, enjoys doing customer research (quant & qual)

  • Strong project & stakeholder management skills, familiarity with project management tools

  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, familiarity with presentation building & public speaking

  • Comfortable with experimentation & testing, especially in relation to AI tools to enhance workflows, efficiency, or decision-making

The base salary for this role ranges from $112,000 - $130,000 + bonus + benefits. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
