The primary purpose of this role is to provide leadership and direction in driving and achieving targeted outcomes for all facets of the state and territory operation.
About the role
- Setting the strategy and direction for the branch to develop annual business plans and deliver on Distribution and Claims targets and profitability objectives.
- Establishing a strong team culture in people management, performance, and service delivery to enhance Allianz's position as a leader in the state and territory's workers compensation market.
- Developing key relationships with customers, intermediaries, and the Regulator, including performing the role of Regulator Relationship Owner (RRO) and ensuring all licence conditions and obligations are being met.
- Setting the direction, leading, and driving direct reports to ensure a fully engaged workforce that is providing continuous training, upskilling, and development opportunities.
- Fulfilling individual risk and compliance related obligations, providing clarity and monitoring the team’s adherence to relevant policies and procedures to drive desired behaviours and implementing risk-aware management culture
- Managing the assigned cost centre's management expenses to ensure expenditure is staying within budget.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in claims or underwriting within Workers Compensation or long-tail claims is preferred.
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience in managing sales targets and high performing teams.
- Sound understanding of the relevant Workers Compensation Scheme and Framework.
- Ability to manage and foster relationships locally and internationally.
- Exemplary ability to express and communicate ideas and messages clearly to staff at all levels, both written and verbally.
- Tertiary Qualification in Finance or Business preferred but not essential with appropriate vocational experience.
- A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
