Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, highly organized HR Consultant to join our team on a remote basis. In this role, you will serve as the primary HR contact for a portfolio of 2–3 clients, managing all aspects of HR operations, employee relations, and administrative responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in a client-facing environment and enjoys handling a broad scope of HR tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the day-to-day HR point of contact for assigned clients
Own and manage the HR inbox for each client, responding promptly and professionally
Advise on and handle all employee relations matters including investigations, performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
Lead and support full-cycle HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and compliance reporting
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
Collaborate with client leadership teams to align HR practices with business needs
Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment law compliance
Manage routine administrative HR tasks such as leave tracking, handbook updates, and reporting
Requirements:
5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a consulting or multi-client environment
Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws
Ability to manage multiple clients and shifting priorities effectively
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
High level of discretion and professionalism
Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
Must be available to work during standard business hours (Monday–Friday)
Experience with HRIS and payroll systems is a plus
