Job description

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, highly organized HR Consultant to join our team on a remote basis. In this role, you will serve as the primary HR contact for a portfolio of 2–3 clients, managing all aspects of HR operations, employee relations, and administrative responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in a client-facing environment and enjoys handling a broad scope of HR tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the day-to-day HR point of contact for assigned clients

  • Own and manage the HR inbox for each client, responding promptly and professionally

  • Advise on and handle all employee relations matters including investigations, performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution

  • Lead and support full-cycle HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and compliance reporting

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation

  • Collaborate with client leadership teams to align HR practices with business needs

  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment law compliance

  • Manage routine administrative HR tasks such as leave tracking, handbook updates, and reporting

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a consulting or multi-client environment

  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws

  • Ability to manage multiple clients and shifting priorities effectively

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • High level of discretion and professionalism

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setting

  • Must be available to work during standard business hours (Monday–Friday)

  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems is a plus
