What You’ll Be Doing:

We are seeking a talented and experienced UX Designer to add to our in-house UX/UI team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health care software development; a passion for creating user-centered designs that improve the overall user experience; and desire to collaborate with all UX/UI team members to elevate our entire product platform.

The primary focus of this role will be to work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement intuitive, efficient, and engaging user interfaces for our Utilization Management health care workflow applications. User research and design system maintenance will be secondary areas of focus. User interface design will be a combination of net-new workflow design and reimagination of existing workflows.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop wireframes and prototypes in Figma based on user goals and product needs
  • Leverage and evolve a nascent design system that leverages the Telerik UI component library and design system for Blazor
  • Take direction for UX/UI leads and contribute to ensuring consistency across entire the Evolent platform
  • Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback
  • Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers
  • Collaborate with software engineers to create intuitive, user-friendly software
  • Understand product specifications and user psychology
  • Create personas through user research and data

Required Skills

  • At least four years’ experience designing software for health plan and health care provider users
  • At least two years’ experience using Figma to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
  • Strong understanding of UX design principles and best practices
  • Ability to communicate the value of user experience design in the software development lifecycle and educate internal stakeholders on user experience design and development best practices
  • Willingness to operate independently and as part of a small team as we grow our user experience competency
  • Experience with user research and usability testing
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with health care software development methodologies and lifecycles
  • Experience with utilization management and/or prior authorization processes is preferred
  • Experience with the Telerik for Blazor UI component library and design system is preferred
  • Knowledge of health care regulations and compliance standards is preferred

Technical Requirements:

We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $85,000 - 105,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
