The Role

As a Technical Recruiter at TruckSmarter, youll shape our organizations future by attracting toptier technical talent. Your impact will extend across the company as you build and refine our hiring engine, bringing in ambitious, capable, diverse, and missiondriven individuals who align with our values and growth ambitions. Youll collaborate with teams, guide hiring managers, and provide strategic leadership to meet our ambitious hiring goals. Youll also shape and evolve our hiring philosophy to ensure it remains innovative, effective, and aligned with our employer brand—delivering an exceptional experience for every candidate.

As the second member of the recruiting organization, youll primarily focus on Engineering and Product roles, but will likely support hiring across other departments including Design, Operations, GoToMarket, and Carrier Success.

Working model: TruckSmarter offers an inoffice collaborative culture. This role is based out of our downtown San Francisco office, and requires inoffice presence three days per week (typically Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays).

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle—from sourcing to coordination of interviews to offer and close—ensuring a seamless and inclusive experience for both candidates and stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to craft job descriptions, define candidate requirements, and develop structured interview processes.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring teams by providing insights, best practices, and datadriven recommendations to improve hiring outcomes.

  • Build and maintain executive relationships while delivering proactive hiring solutions that align with business goals.

  • Create and execute sourcing strategies for passive talent pipelines in product and engineering domains.

  • Coach hiring teams on best practices for interviewing, candidate assessment, and decisionmaking.

  • Design, implement, and refine recruitment programs to enhance efficiency, scalability, and candidate experience.

      • Experience managing critical roles while maintaining excellent organizational skills and stakeholder relationships.

      • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.

      • Expert negotiation skills backed by deep knowledge of the tech talent market.

      • Proven ability to excel in fastpaced environments while juggling multiple priorities.

      • Demonstrated success building lasting, trustbased relationships with candidates.

      • Proficiency with modern recruiting tools, including AIpowered platforms and applicant tracking systems (we use Ashby).
