Job description

Naylor Building Partnerships Inc. is currently recruiting for an Accounting Assistant - Co-op Student to join our Accounting team for the September to December, 2025 Fall work term. The successful candidate must be in an accredited co-operative education program, and be able to work full-time from our Oakville office location (not a remote role).

Responsibilities:

  • A/P Support: Data entry of invoice and purchase order information; Reconciling vendor statements; Validating invoices for accuracy and following up with appropriate managers regarding missing documentation; Maintaining accounts payable e-mail and responding to inquiries
  • A/R Support: Making collections calls to clients with outstanding invoices, stratify collection activities to maximize cash receipt; Sending out monthly statements of accounts; Contacting customers regarding overdue accounts and determine reason for non-payment, verify the issue and ask the appropriate parties to resolve the issue; Corresponding with customers and respond to inquiries
  • General office duties: such as photocopying invoices, opening and distributing mail, filing, faxing, other administrative duties as required

Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary Education in Accounting/Finance or related in progress
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, preferably Excel and Word
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to multitask in a busy office environment
  • Willingness to take on other duties as needed
