Job description

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with a strong blend of expertise in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Advisory, Data Quality, and Data Lineage Testing. The ideal candidate will support clients across Wealth Management, Capital Markets, and Correspondent Banking, leveraging deep knowledge of financial products, regulatory frameworks, and data governance best practices.

AML Advisory & Model Development

  • Support clients across Wealth Management, Capital Markets, and Correspondent Banking using knowledge of financial products.
  • Apply understanding of AML laws, typologies, red flags, and regulatory expectations (e.g., BSA, FinCEN, FATF).
  • Analyze AML risk profiles, identify control gaps, and recommend enhancements.
  • Design and develop AML transaction monitoring rules and risk models using Python and statistical techniques (regression, clustering, classification).
  • Perform data ingestion, transformation (ETL), and scenario development/tuning for AML models.
  • Stay current with AML regulations and evolving typologies.
  • Write clear documentation for business requirements, data dictionaries, mapping, testing, and model governance compliance.

Data Quality & Lineage Testing

  • Review banking system documentation including ETL flows, data outputs, and existing controls.
  • Map end-to-end data lineage, including source systems, intermediate transformations, and target systems.
  • Define and catalog Critical Data Elements (CDEs), including attributes and system relationships.
  • Create visual data flow diagrams using tools like Visio or PowerPoint.
  • Conduct data quality testing across six dimensions: accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, validity, and integrity.
  • Perform Front-to-Back, Back-to-Front, and Upstream Product Testing using SQL scripts.
  • Compile deliverables such as Data Lineage Documents, CDE Catalogs, and Data Quality Workpapers.
  • Facilitate workshops and collaborate with IT/business stakeholders to validate and approve documentation.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in SQL for large-scale data analysis and testing.
  • Experience with Python, R, SAS, or similar platforms for statistical modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with data manipulation, pivot tables, and statistical functions.
  • Familiar with model governance standards and AML model validation processes.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and independent execution skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and documentation tools
