We are seeking an analytical and collaborative Renewals Operations Manager to lead the operational engine behind our contract renewal motion. This role is pivotal to improving revenue retention and efficiency across the customer lifecycle. You will partner cross-functionally to streamline workflows, enhance reporting and insights, support pricing governance, and embed best practices into systems and processes. Your work will directly support leadership visibility, operational excellence, and financial predictability.
Key Responsibilities :Renewal Process Ownership: Lead the design, documentation, and continuous improvement of scalable, repeatable renewal processes. Partner with stakeholders in Sales, Success, Finance, and Legal to drive clarity and efficiency across deal executionForecasting & Reporting: Build and maintain renewal forecasts, dashboards, and operational KPIs. Prepare recurring reporting for senior leadership that highlights trends, risk areas, pricing dynamics, and commercial performanceWin/Loss & Insights: Conduct win/loss analysis on renewals—including churn, downsell, price uplift, and expansion. Use insights to identify root causes and partner with Renewals and Customer Success leadership to drive targeted improvementsPerformance Optimization: Leverage data to identify bottlenecks, performance gaps, and coaching opportunities within the renewal motion. Support implementation of plays that improve renewal velocity, on-time rates, and financial outcomesSystem Ownership & Technology Roadmap: Partner with IT, Revenue Operations, and product owners to define the CRM/CPQ capabilities required to support renewal workflows—ensuring functionality aligns with commercial policy, automation needs, and reporting requirementsEnablement & Best Practices: Create training, documentation, and playbooks to ensure internal stakeholders understand the renewal process, pricing rules, and tools available to drive successful outcomes.Required Experience :4-6 years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or Customer Success Operations within a SaaS or recurring revenue businessExperience working with Salesforce, CPQ, and customer lifecycle tools such as Gainsight, Totango, or ChurnZeroDemonstrated success improving operational workflows, reporting, and performance visibilityStrong analytical capabilities with the ability to draw insights and influence decisions through dataExcellent cross-functional collaboration, communication, and project management skillsPreferred Experience :Experience with CLM systems such as Ironclad, DocuSign CLM, or CongaFamiliarity with pricing frameworks and commercial policy enforcementUnderstanding of churn analysis and renewal propensity modelingExperience supporting global or multi-segment renewal motionsKey Metrics of Success :On-time renewal rateGross and net revenue retentionForecast accuracy and visibilityRenewal pricing uplift and discount complianceProcess cycle time and automation rateQuality of win/loss insights and recommended actionsWhy Emburse?
