Role Description
As a Business Development Trainee, you’ll gain hands-on experience in sales, communication, lead
generation, and strategy, laying the foundation for a high-growth career in business development. This
role is ideal for someone who is passionate about growth, has a knack for communication, and is
eager to learn the ropes in a dynamic, high-impact environment.
Responsibilities
- Promote and sell Newton School's Tech Programs (such as Full Stack Development, Data
Science, etc.) to both college students and working professionals
- Identify, connect with, and nurture potential leads via calls, emails, and digital channels
- Assist in qualifying leads and converting them into potential opportunities
- Maintain accurate CRM records and contribute to regular sales reporting
- Collaborate with marketing teams to run outreach campaigns and track performance
- Participate in demo calls and gain exposure to full sales cycles
- Provide market feedback to improve outreach strategies and offerings
- Engage in competitor research and understand industry trends
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed studies in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or relevant fields
- Excellent communication skills in English; Hindi proficiency is a plus
- Proficiency in Google Workspace & basic CRM tools (e.g., Zoho, HubSpot)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive mindset
- Willingness to make cold/warm calls and handle rejection gracefully
- Curious, analytical, and eager to learn
- Prior internship or project experience in sales/marketing is a plus
