Job description

The Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) System Administrator will manage Henry Schein's EPM Enterprise Cloud system, which consolidates global financial results into a centralized chart of accounts for internal reporting, executive decision-making, and public filings. This role oversees FCCS application administration, enterprise data governance, restatements, data conversions, and metadata/calendar monitoring. By collaborating across teams to resolve variances, maintain audit-readiness, and ensure reporting accuracy, the Manager plays a critical role in delivering reliable, timely financial consolidation and insight across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Manage FCCS application administration, including monthly change management requests, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
  • Lead and oversee enterprise-wide data governance, including integrity controls, audit readiness (SOX), and compliance with external/internal reporting standards.
  • Perform routine system data integrity checks and maintain governance files, including monthly checklists and consolidation calendars. Update tools to reflect evolving systems and reporting timelines.
  • Direct data conversion and annual restatement cycles: plan and interpret changes, ensure alignment with reporting requirements, conduct historical data verifications, and reconcile restated data to maintain integrity.
  • Investigate and resolve data variances arising from close inputs, system integrations, or metadata/calendar changes. Escalate and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead development and implementation of system enhancements, including scripting, testing (with regression coverage), and involvement in new application launches.
  • Guide the Business Requirements Documentation (BRD) process from end to end, collaborating with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to gather requirements, define architecture, and manage roll-outs.
  • Maintain the development reporting pipeline, prioritize workload, and manage dependencies across EPM and extended teams.
  • Provide strategic input on system design to support evolving reporting needs and participate in long-term planning for system upgrades and optimization.
  • Support internal and external audits by managing documentation requests and reviewing testing evidence to ensure SOX compliance.
  • Reconcile system calculations, including intercompany eliminations, NCI, equity accounting, cash flow, and constant currency. Deliver ad hoc data analysis for senior leadership, legal, tax, and business development.
  • Build and maintain SmartView/Ad Hoc reports and reporting books. Support CAO Close meeting materials and collaborate with business units to resolve reporting discrepancies and align data flows.
  • Educate users and provide guidance on operational processes, data workflows, and system changes.
  • Participate in special projects and contribute to the future development of the EPM application suite in collaboration with external vendors.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: 

  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle EPM Cloud, specifically FCCS, including application administration, configuration, metadata management, data exchange mapping, scripting, SmartView reporting, and security management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing data flows, resolving errors, ensuring seamless integrations, and conducting data integrity checks across platforms.
  • Strong understanding of financial close processes, including internal and external reporting, intercompany transactions, restatements, legal entity reporting, and multi-period historical reconciliations.
  • Proficient in reconciling advanced accounting scenarios such as non-controlling interest (NCI), equity accounting, cash flow, and constant currency adjustments.
  • Skilled in interpreting and translating business requirements into system specifications and architecture. Proven experience leading the BRD process and managing regression testing, system enhancements, and user feedback cycles.
  • Ability to manage evolving metadata, calendars, and governance tools in alignment with data processing timelines and reporting schedules.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with a strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues and apply best practices in system design and process optimization.
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities, including goal setting, coaching, and expectation management.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and VB scripting for financial modeling, automation, and reporting validation.

WORK EXPERIENCE: 

Typically, 10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; 1 or more years of management experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION: 

Typically, a bachelor’s degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Remote. No special physical demands are required.

The posted range for this position is $112,596 to $175,931 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. 

This position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range.
