Redstone Commodity Search are working with an International Producer and Manufacturer of aluminium and non-ferrous metals looking to hire an Industrial Buyer of Aluminium Scrap to join their team based in Alabama.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Maintain and develop the list of industrial and commercial accounts purchasing scrap aluminium while optimizing profit.
\n
• Utilising industry events and contacts to stay well connected within the scrap metal market and identify new opportunities and enhancing strategy to action loss prevention.
\n
• Developing pricing for accounts based on the current market conditions.
\n
• Ensuring shipments and documentation of shipments are timely and accurate through coordination with the logistics and trading teams.
\n
• Role reports to Business Unit Manager.

Key Qualifications / Experience

\n
• At least 5 years of experience buying aluminium scrap metal, with knowledge of relevant products (such as cast, wire, sheet, cable).
\n
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferable.
\n
• A current portfolio of industry contacts which can be transferred and developed is ideal.
\n
• Experience with yard operations and utilizing information to advise pricing decisions is needed.
\n
• Role is to be based in Moulton, Alabama, remote is possible.
\n
